Review highlights
Based on 106 reviewsLucky Garden Kopitiam in Bangsar is widely praised for its diverse selection of authentic Malaysian hawker dishes, with particular acclaim for its pork ball noodles and wanton mee. Reviewers frequently highlight the well-balanced flavors and proper texture of the noodles, complemented by flavorful sauces and peppery soups. The beverage offerings, especially the local-style milk tea and Cham ice, are noted for their smoothness and quality. The kopitiam’s variety spans numerous food stalls, providing a broad range of choices that consistently satisfy patrons. While the seating can be limited during peak hours, the overall ambiance and ventilation are considered adequate, contributing to a positive casual dining experience in a popular, established setting.
A variety of Malaysian food served here. The wanton was coated with sweet sauce and was pretty delicious The pork ball noodles was relatively nice.
Love the milky pork noodles with mee shua and egg here! And their Cham ice, honestly the very best you can find around here, very smooth and yummmalways stick to the same order here lol
This established and popular kopitiam has ten food stalls offering a good variety of hawker fare. This review is about the pork balls noodle stall at the entrance of the shop. To me, this is the best "san kan chong 三间庄" pork balls noodle in town. Best in terms of how the noodle has the right cookness (especially bihun) and how the drizzle sauce has the right ratio of seasoning to give it that powerful umami. Umami which is especially apparent with the dry (gon lou) version. Needless to say, the rectangular pork balls, sausages and minced meat that come with every bowl are on point -- with the right texture and flavour. Hailing from one of the famous Jinjang Selatan san kan chong (skc) families, Mr Lee (Ah Ming) has been in this trade for 35 years. He has been selling skc in Bangsar Lucky Garden for almost three decades. For many years, his stall name was called Soon Fatt Kee 顺发记 until he changed it to the present Ming Hin 明轩 to reflect his name. A bowl of delicious and satisfying skc costs RM10. Bentong tofu pok with meat stuffing are also available at RM12 for three pieces. Iced coffee @ RM3.20 was rich and creamy. Apart from this stall here, there are now two standalone Ming Hin full-fledged shops selling skc and other fare -- Bukit Jalil (managed by his wife) and Salak South (managed by his brother-in-law). Business Hours: 730am-330pm daily. Closed on Tuesday and Wednesday consecutively once a month (usually mid-month). Toilet Score: Usual kopitiam standard. Good food, ventilation okay. Lucky to able to get a seat on the weekend with a limited table. Dry curry mee is a surprise found.
Fantastic food here, so many choices, never been disappointed.. their tea and coffee made really well too Their Sam gan cheong pork ball noodles are the best. Peppery soup and tasty lard noodles. The congee and char koay teow not bad. Wan ton mee and roasted chicken rice are good too.
